  1. The NEC Code Electrical Database system has been provided on these disks
  2. in a partially archived form in order to save space.
  3. In order to set up your hard disk:
  4.  
  5.  
  6.   1) Prepare a subdirectory for the data  C> MD\NEWDIR
  7.      (NEWDIR is any name you wish -
  8.       or pick an existing subdirectory)
  9.  
  10.   2) Go to that new subdirectory          C> CD\NEWDIR
  11.  
  12.   3) Copy the contents of this disk to
  13.      the hard disk with the command:      C> COPY A:*.*
  14.  
  15.   4) Issue the command                    C> PKXARC *.ARC
  16.      This will unarchive the DATA
  17.      and KEYS datasets
  18.  
  19.   5) Delete the archived files with       C> ERASE *.ARC
  20.  
  21.   6) Replace the disk in the A: drive with EN11B.0 (disk 2)
  22.  
  23.   7) Unarchive the CHAIN data with        C> PKXARC A:CHAIN
  24.  
  25.   8) Final cleanup can be done with       C> ERASE (*.*
  26.                                           C> ERASE PBS.BAT
  27.                                           C> ERASE PKXARC.*

  31. The documentation files on this disk can be identified by their
  32. extensions of .DOC, .TXT, or names like README.
  33.  
  34. These can be viewed with the  PBS-VIEW  program such as  PBS-VIEW PBS.TXT
  35. or shown on the screen with the  TYPE  command such as   TYPE PBS.TXT
  36. or copied to the printer with the  COPY  command such as COPY PBS.TXT PRN
